GeUniMUN - University committee
Dear Friends,
It is our honour, privilege and pleasure to invite university students to attend the seventh edition of the Genoa Model United Nations, which will be hold in Genoa, Italy from February 25th to 27th 2010.
Since last year the Special Decolonization and Political Committee (GA 4th) has been reserved to university students, allowing them to debate both in the committee and in the subsequent GA plenary session. This upcoming session makes a milestone again as we are adding a new forum to the conference structure, the Economic and Financial Committee (GA 2nd), so that university students will be able to choose between two different kinds of issues to be debated, although both forums work under the same rules of procedures and take part to the GA plenary session.
Our main aim is to build bridges among nations and young people in a dynamic way by making them work together on issues that might be part of the world challenges tomorrow. So we invite both experienced delegates and newcomers to attend our conference, with the hope to create a friendly and international environment where a fruitful and cooperative debate can take place. The photos at the bottom of the page give you an idea of the atmosphere in our conference!
Experienced MUNers are warmly welcome to apply for an officer position.
You can find below the delegate application form (positions given upon availability) and the officer application form (deadline 30th November 2009). All details concerning location, fees and accommodation can be found in the drop-down menu “information” on the top of the page.
For additional information or requests please feel free to send an email to gemunoffice@gmail.com (please type “university” in the subject line).
We are looking forward to meeting you in Genoa in February 2010.
